Minutes….A special meeting of the Remsen Town Board was held on Monday, March 7, 2016 and called to order by Supervisor Roger Helmer at 6:30PM at the Remsen Town Hall.

Members PRESENT:

Supervisor Roger Helmer

Councilman Duane Jones

Councilperson Donna Hamilton

Councilman Robert Wilcox

Councilman Thomas Murphy

Members ABSENT:

None

Supervisor Helmer stated that the purpose of the meeting was to conduct interviews for the position of Highway Superintendent. Seven applications were received and each of the seven candidates was present: Blake Yutzler, David Edwards, Richard Roberts, Frederick Cassidy, George Worden, Scott Bailey, and Harry Lichtenberger Jr.

Supervisor Helmer stated that he would recuse himself from the interview process. Board members participating in the interviews were Robert Wilcox, Duane Jones, Thomas Murphy, and Donna Hamilton.

A Motion was made by Councilman Robert Wilcox at 6:32pm to enter Executive Session for the purpose of conducting interviews. Seconded by Thomas Murphy. Ayes –Wilcox, Jones, Murphy, Hamilton. Nays – 0. Recused - Helmer

A Motion was made to come out of Executive Session and return to Regular Session by Councilman Robert Wilcox at 9:00 pm. Seconded by Donna Hamilton. Ayes –Wilcox, Jones, Murphy, Hamilton. Nays – 0. Recused - Helmer
